Born and raised in Toronto, Alexander developed an interest in finance through various clubs and competitions in high school, where he enjoyed learning about investing and the broader business world. He created and tracked a mock portfolio, which deepened his curiosity about markets and motivated him to seek a more hands-on experience. At McGill, he viewed the Honours in Investment Management program as a unique opportunity to build on that interest while learning alongside like-minded peers.
