Born and raised in Montreal, Elaine first discovered finance after participating in a high school stock competition. Despite not performing well, she found herself wanting to understand what she could have done differently, which sparked a deeper interest in how markets work. That curiosity eventually grew into a lasting passion for investing and business, leading her to choose McGill largely because of the Honours in Investment Management program, which offered hands-on experience and the chance to learn alongside driven peers. Outside of academics, Elaine enjoys karaoke, long-distance running, and keeping up with Formula 1.
