Emily was born and raised in Toronto, where she developed a strong competitive spirit through her commitment to sports and academic achievement. Drawn to teamwork, strategy, and high pressure environments, she quickly recognized parallels between athletics and the dynamic world of finance. Originally pursuing a STEM pathway, Emily chose McGill to explore a new field in a new environment, while satisfying her mathematical affinity. Combining her quantitative mindset with her ability to thrive under pressure, she discovered a strong interest in sales and trading. In her second year, she joined HIM to gain hands-on experience in investing and to build a community of ambitious, like-minded peers. Outside of school, Emily loves travelling, trying new sports and networking!
