Born and raised in Chengdu, Yijin spent her first 18 years in this chill, southwestern city in China. She was drawn to McGill University after attending her first summer camp at the YMCA in Montreal. Yijin developed a fascination with finance at a young age, influenced by family discussions about the stock market. This passion led her to enroll in the Desautels Faculty of Management, where she pursued further studies in capital management and investment. Outside of class, you can often find her exploring different restaurants, especially enjoying hotpots, or planning her next trip.
